Our vision for the Future

We believe that a truly outstanding education must be grounded in a belief that communities matter. Ambitious communities deserve world-class buildings and facilities, and consequently we are embarking on the most significant redevelopment of the St Dunstan’s sites since our foundation in Catford, in 1888

The Enhancement of sport, leisure and social facilities at both the College Campus and Jubilee Grounds.

The Jubilee Ground will introduce:

• Additional multi-use netball and tennis courts • An additional full-size grass rugby/football pitch • A refurbished Jubilee Pavilion with additional changing facilities. This is in addition to the works on the 5 a side football pitches and brand new MUGA which has already been completed.

The College site will introduce:

• Redesigned playing fields. The lower fields will provide dedicated Junior School sports pitches and the upper field will be designated for Senior School sports • Two netball / tennis courts, a MUGA and a grass rugby / football training pitch on the Lower Fields • A natural grass cricket pitch on the Upper Playing Fields to replace the one on the Lower Playing Fields. • A new parade square, bandstand, and amphitheatre, situated adjacent to the new STEM Block • A number of pupil social hubs created across the College site

New facilities available to the local community.

We are passionate about our broad-reaching community: the residents of Catford and Lewisham, the pupils and families who attend our school, the organisations with whom we share spaces and ideas, and our international links and connections across London. Our facilities are already open to the public and utilised by thousands of different members from across our community. Our ambition is to build even more relationships, working together on projects that enhance life experiences for both local residents and our international friends. All of St Dunstan’s facilities are currently available for community use, however, our new plans will enhance provision through: • Six multi-use games areas for tennis, netball and basketball, in addition to swimming facilities and playing fields • A Lecture Theatre with Café and central atrium for performances, lectures and workshops • A parade square and bandstand • Outdoor, informal seating spaces adjacent to classroom and sports spaces • Refurbished Great Hall and Refectory for out of hours use, such as International School holiday programmes • A Pavilion with extensive sports grounds for cricket, rugby, football and hockey

If you would be interested in learning more about our ambitious plans, or would consider supporting them in any way, please get in touch with our development team on development@sdmail.org.uk. We are always excited to bring people to St Dunstan’s and to share our ambitions with you in person.
